With many new members joining the club, we have starting hosting “Sawdust and Shavings” sessions, which are focused on woodworking and woodturning fundamentals. These sessions are held in the private shops of club members, which allows for a unique experience to interact with makers on their ‘home turf’. While the sessions are geared towards new members, ALL members are invited and encouraged to attend. No matter your skill level, there is always something new to learn.
Several sessions have been held to date, including basic bowl turning (Jay Stanley), building sculpted rocking chairs (Len Pierce), and turned boxed (Jim Palakovich).
The next session will be held on April 28th, with the topic and location yet to be finalized (more information in the coming days).
Here are some photos of the previous sessions
